Atlanta Continued

Delta airlines really doesn't like to tell people which gate they need to be at. Granted at MSP there are really only two or three Delta gates, but if you never fly how would you even know that? It's not on the ticket either.

The same was true for the return flight although my ticket did say which gate I was supposed to be at. (and conveniently it's a Delta hub so it's a pretty safe bet that there are a few hundred Delta gates.) I found my gate, so I went there and sat down and started working and chatting on the phone with my friend Amy. And I looked at the clock and it was 9:28 and my flight was supposed to take off at 9:40...seemed curious why they weren't loading. So I went up to the desk. It appeared they moved the gate and just didn't announce it. Well...that's convenient.

The other annoying thing about Atlanta was the traffic. One observation though that just baffled me was a backing phenonemon. Apparently if the highway is backed up it is a common practice (not entirely sure how THIS IS LEGAL) to get to shoulder, put your car in reverse and reverse drive all the way to the exit you missed...even if it's more than a mile away. I must have seen I line of about 20 cars do this. Granted the traffic was at a standstill but STILL...seems a little dangerous and highly illegal.
