Kim Peterson has been my friend for roughly 23 years. We met in the math/science study hall of Rolling Meadows High School Freshman Year of high school and have been great friends ever since.

She stuck up for me against Mr. Duelman - the geometry teacher who made me cry. She worked hard through high school juggling multiple jobs including burger king - home of the bucket o'pickles. She plays the flute. She likes to camp. She is an itunes fanatic and inparticular loves to find those eclectic tunes no one has ever heard of. She is smart and knows a whole lot about environmental stuff. She's a terrific artist. She's a great mom. She's a fabulous listener particular on the ledge of a Wisconsin Dells summit pondering about love and life and God and the universe.

Here hoping heute ist eine Guten Tag Frau Peterson! She probably can even tell me how terrible my German has gotten!

And best of all...she's my friend...tried and true. She would be one of the many reasons why I ever would move back to Chicago.

37 isn't so bad is it?
