As promised, here's photos from thanksgiving :)

The fine art of cooking a turkey took on a new dimension this year with Dieter's attempt at deep frying the bird. Look at the precision. (Guess all the Air Force training comes in handy, Brian)

Quite possibly the highlight was meeting Kennedy, who at just under one year old stole the hearts of pretty much every family member.

We celebrated her 1st birthday after dinner with gifts and cake (although, not a lot of cake was eaten as we were all quite full from dinner.)

Not quite sure she knew what to make of Ernie when Katy showed her it. Luckily Uncle Tim put the video camera down and was there to educate her with the Ernie song he suddenly remembered from his own childhood. (Wonder if they ever got the puppet away from him?)
All in all the visit home was good.
I now see what mom and Jer are talking about with dad not wanting to do much but sit in his recliner all day. How do you get someone to care about living when they don't want to? When they just sit in a chair all day and nap the day away. There's got to be more to life than that.
