I had planned to do a complete overhaul of my kitchen today. What I got done was I emptied all of my cupboards and got rid of old canned goods that had been lurking in there for a few years. Which makes me wonder - I remember Opa's basement had shelves and shelves of canned goods and whatnot (particularly cans of vegetable beef soup and pork n' beans.) What I do really wonder is if the "date stamping" on many of the canned goods is really necessary when I seem to recall eating canned items that probably had been sitting on a shelf in his basement or in the cabinet at the Dells for years. I know, probably not a good thing to be messing with something like bochlesim (however you spell it)

Of course I couldn't just clean without unearthing some random distraction. Today's was Hot Shots Golf. I know it's random that I even have this game for my playstation however I decided to pop it in for a diversion and see what happens.

I also don't know the first thing about golf. Select a nine iron? Wedge? Chip in from a sand trap? However after about two hours I got the swing of things and the next thing I knew, much like I imagine 18 holes of golf would take a few hours, I had procrastinated cleaning my kitchen and it was now time to cook something for dinner.

Speaking of distractions...best get back to it (the cleaning that is) so that tomorrow I can truly enjoy a Sunday without a blessed thing to do. :)
