In what I'm sure is a direct response to my last rant I just read in the news today that Delta said all of its customers can still check a first bag free of charge on domestic flights and check two bags free of charge on international flights. Of course they are significantly increasing their charges for two bags and overstuffed bags...except of course if you fly first class or are an elite frequent flier. Then you can pretty much do whatever the heck you want.
